I believe class pages are beneficial for both students and parents to be able to keep up with what is going on in the classroom. Some information that is provided is the assignments being assigned, class schedules, where announcements are posted and class resources. Having this available to the public with a login can also help parents or guardians feel more involved in the students life and keep them on track. Being able to see how to contact the teacher and important announcements will help create a smooth relationship between the student, teacher, and parent. https://www.hunterschools.org/class-pages      Working on assignment 2 using Canvas group was easier than expected. Since this is an online class, it can be hard to get in contact with the group members. Thankfully, my group was very active and all cooperated in finishing their specific parts of the assignment on time. I do not have any complaints about the Canvas group tool.

After participating in this weeks portfolio item, I believe AI is a beneficial tool to use in the classroom. Generative AI helped me create my lesson plan and fix any errors I might have had. ChatGPT can make a lesson plan more clear and understandable for a student. I would consider using generative AI tools to help me create a productive lesson plan.       Including Generative AI into multiple areas of teaching can be beneficial for a teacher to feel more accomplished and get more work done. ChatGPT can help create exam questions or homework assignments for students if the teacher is out of ideas. The ethical concern I would have is whether students will use generative AI as a tool for cheating instead of for studying purposes. For teachers, they might rely on generative AI to get their work done and it may not be accurate or exactly what they covered in class.

My experience using generative AI tools has been positive, as I can get a direct answer when using AI. Sometimes, using Google can be confusing because you often have to search for your desired answer. After completing this week's graded discussion activity, I see that the benefit of using AI for Internet searches is that it gives you a quick answer and explanation for the specific question being asked. The only concerns I have would be students only using AI to get answers for their homework or exams instead of using it for research and knowledge purposes. Google can give multiple websites to expand your knowledge on the topic.

The ELA technology standard Matrix for grades 11-12 is about diverse formatting and media. Each of the standards mentions how formatting and media are important. The technology includes different online software and some graphing. I am prepared to implement this standard as I use most of these various software and technology in college.        One of the standards I chose was the SS.912.A.1.3 standard, discussing how to utilize historical timelines. I think most of these resources can be useful in a classroom because they keep the topics organized and easier to understand for students. Using timelines in a history class will be beneficial for students to understand when and why certain events occurred. I will provide a large timeline of American history displayed on my classroom walls A teacher needs to be a proficient internet searcher because they need to be able to look up certain things. Teachers have to be able to use multiple websites an...

1. As a teacher, it is important to create your own exams and assignments to match the teaching style you have used in class. Both my students and I should be able to not copyright other work to prove that we both understand the material. If a child is caught cheating or copyrighting, they will receive a zero for that assignment. When a teacher makes their work, it is harder for students to plagiarize.  2. Academic dishonesty happens often in classrooms, especially when teaching older students with more internet access. As a teacher, it is my job to ensure I am giving enough material and being available for help to stop the need for cheating. If a student decides to be academically dishonest, they will receive a zero for the assignment. Students make mistakes, so I will not let them judge their character and hope they create their own work from now on.  3. I do think AI is helpful in classroom settings as long as it does not interfere with students' learning. ChatGPT can be ab...
